Plus, Inc.
History
Independence Plus, Inc is a private non-profit organization providing enrichment services to individuals with a developmental disability. Additionally; Independence Plus, Inc is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.) as a 501c(3) charitable entity. Independence Plus was established in March of 1998 with a formal proposal submitted to the Department of Economic Security / Division of Developmental Disabilities (DES/DDD). The proposal was accepted and Independence Plus became a Qualified Provider Agency. Independence Plus opened its doors officially in November of 1998.
It is the philosophy of Independence Plus that every individual has value and ability level does not determine that value. All (consumers, visitors, and staff) are given respect and dignity deserving as human beings. Independence Plus has the attitude of "People First".
