BACKGROUND:
I came to Independence Plus,
INC. with a Religious and Special Education Background. I
have volunteered/worked in the DD field since March of 1977
(Yes, a very long time!!!). I moved to Phoenix in 1989 and worked
at Gompers Center for 9 years. Then
founding/opening Independence Plus in mid 1998 where I have been
ever since. I have had opportunities to work in other fields,
but I don't feel the level of joy would be there!!! My work is
my ministry in which I have dedicated myself.

BACKGROUND:
I came to Independence Plus
with 20 years of Medical experience. (Registered Respiratory
Therapist and Registered
Nurse).
July of 2000 made a career change and began working in the DD
field with Independence Plus. I feel this field is very
rewarding.. I wish I had experienced
this field earlier in my life...it brings me much joy.

NAME: Robert Younger
TITLE: Activity Assistant
BACKGROUND:
Since 1994 I have assisted my
grandparents with their foster children who had a disability.
Then in October of 2000, I came to Independence Plus. I have
been here ever since and enjoy the work I do. In February 2003 I
was promoted to Lead Habilitation Tech. Later, stepped
down as lead, to devote more time to the Special Olympics.
And after getting the Special Olympics going at IPI, I once
again accepted the position of Lead Hab.
